In 2018, Diode Ventures acquired a solar project from global property group and contractor Lendlease in Fort Bend County, Texas. Diode developed the project with the objective to produce 240 megawatt (MW) ac/315 MW dc of solar energy using photovoltaic technology. The project, expected to create about 300 jobs during the construction phase, will be within the territory of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT). In September 2020, Diode sold the project to renewable energy leader, Acciona.
