Wheatland County, Alberta, Canada
Goldfinch Technology Park
Goldfinch Technology Park, a 575-acre hyperscale data center development located within Wheatland County’s heavy industrial hub, represents a forward-looking investment in digital infrastructure as part of Diode Ventures’ expanding Canadian portfolio. Through local collaboration and sustainable planning, Alberta is poised to attract significant technology investment and regional economic uplift.
While the site is currently zoned agricultural, Diode is actively engaged in the rezoning and planning process to bring it into alignment with industrial zoning commensurate with the project’s location within Wheatland County’s heavy industrial hub. As part of the rezoning process, Diode will submit an Area Concept Plan which will include environmental assessments, traffic impacts, geotechnical reports and stormwater management plans, along with the sequence of development and land use. Throughout the rezoning and development process, Diode will deploy a robust public engagement and community outreach process.
