Director of Origination, Data Infrastructure
Andrea Jones spearheads digital infrastructure origination at Diode Ventures, an established data center development firm and subsidiary of Black and Veatch. She leads strategic site selection, community engagement, and external communication, marketing, and business development. Her work aligns market intelligence with hyperscale and enterprise client requirements to accelerate go-to market timelines.
With over a decade and a half of experience across the AEC (Architecture, Engineering, and Construction) and Commercial Real Estate sectors, Andrea brings deep expertise in greenfield site development, power and fiber due diligence, entitlements, and stakeholder alignment. She has played a key role in advancing shovel-ready solutions for data center clients around the world.
Prior to joining Diode, Andrea served as the Mission Critical Client Solutions Lead at JE Dunn Construction. Her role was integral in developing national partnerships and managing strategic accounts across the mission critical ecosystem. Her ability to navigate complex technical and commercial landscapes has positioned her as a trusted advisor in the data center development community.
Andrea served as the President of the Greater Kansas City Chapter of AFCOM and currently sits on the board of the Kansas City Tech Council, AFCOM and WiMCO (Women in Mission Critical Operations). She is also an active member in 7x24 Exchange and worked with the KC Tech Council to help shepherd the Kansas Senate Bill 98 to approval. This Bill allows tax exemptions aimed at attracting and supporting data center development in the state of Kansas. Andrea holds a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Kansas.
