Cheshta Balwani is a Project Development Manager, and she focuses on distributed generation projects. Prior to joining Diode, Cheshta was a Project Manager at Black & Veatch and she managed distributed solar PV, BESS, microgrid and fleet decarbonization projects, while collaborating with various technology startups to bring in innovative solutions to project challenges. Cheshta utilizes her experiences with strategic planning, startup collaborations, process defining and algorithm creation, to build a creative perspective towards problems.

Cheshta is passionate about Climate - she mentors startup founders in the Climate Tech space and leverages her network to help them through technical challenges, business model ideas, customer understanding as well as fundraising.

Cheshta is a licensed professional engineer, and she holds a Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering and Process Systems Engineering from Carnegie Mellon University, and a Bachelor’s degree of Technology in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Varanasi.
